Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the haau3 platform and its APIs (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf.

2. The Services

The haau3 platform provides developer-facing healthcare APIs. The Services are offered on an early-access basis and may change, be limited, or be discontinued at any time. APIs marked as a community preview may be provided free of charge for a limited period.

3. Accounts and organizations

Access is organized around organizations. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and any activity under your organization, and for ensuring your team members comply with these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by exceeding rate limits, attempting to disrupt the platform, reverse-engineering non-public components, or using the Services in violation of applicable law. The platform is non-PHI by default; do not transmit protected health information except through Services explicitly designated to receive it under an executed agreement.

5. Fees

Paid plans are billed as described on our pricing page. Usage limits, rate limits, and seats vary by plan. During the community preview, designated APIs may be free; we will provide reasonable notice before charging for them.

6. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. The Services are not a medical device and do not provide medical advice. You are responsible for validating data for your use case.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, haau3 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Trademarks

HL7®, FHIR®, and the FHIR flame mark are the registered trademarks of Health Level Seven International. FHIR® is the registered trademark of Health Level Seven International and its use here does not constitute endorsement by HL7. Other names and marks are the property of their respective owners.

10. Third-party content and terminology licences

Some Services return content from clinical code systems published by third parties. Your use of that content is subject to the publisher's own licence, and using our APIs makes you a downstream user of those terms.

LOINC® is a registered United States trademark of Regenstrief Institute, Inc.

Individual LOINC codes may carry a further copyright held by the party that created the underlying instrument, most often a survey or assessment. Where one does, we return that notice with the code, and you must keep it with the code wherever you use it.

We do not serve every code system, and we say which and why. SNOMED CT is free in the United States only through a UMLS Metathesaurus licence that each organisation must hold for itself, so we cannot cover you under ours. CPT requires a paid licence from the American Medical Association, which we do not hold. Requests for a system we do not serve get a clear refusal naming the reason, never a guess. The systems we do serve are listed at api.haau3.com/v1/fhir/r4/metadata?mode=terminology.

Terminology content is provided as supplied by its publisher, and its publishers make no warranty as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness or availability. Neither do we.
